Government promises faster NBN speeds

The Turnbull government has promised faster speeds when responding to leaks about the National Broadband Network.

Following a string of embarrassing leaks the government will now devote more NBN resources to improving the speed at which AFP officers execute search warrants to recover any compromising documents.

“We’re all about ideas and innovation” A spokesperson for the NBN said, “so the last thing people need to see are reports of massive cost blowouts, gross inefficiencies and the fact that most of the old copper network the government wants to rely on needs replacing.”

The announcement follows AFP raids on a number of Labor MPs homes in Melbourne. Local residents were shocked by the raids. Most residents were not expecting anyone from the NBN to visit the neighbourhood for decades, if at all.
