Ron Paul is Misogynistic and Racist

It is curious how many of the US libertarians hold up Ron Paul as some sort of positive example. If you need any further evidence of the danger and damage that this crackpot could cause, one only needs to review his policies and voting record.

The reality is that he's a propertarian conservative, which actually doesn't hold a strong committment to individual rights. Certainly not for women. Or apparently those who are in incurable pain. Here's what he said in Congress in October 1999.

"I am strongly pro-life. I think one of the most disastrous rulings of this century was Roe versus Wade... I believe that if people are careless and casual about life at the beginning of life, we will be careless and casual about life at the end. Abortion leads to euthanasia. I believe that.”

That's not pro-life, that's compulsory life regardless of the circumstances. And you can bet this "pro-life" "libertarian" cares very little for the welfare of children after their born. But before hand, they have property rights, apparently. At the GOP Values Voter Presidential Debate in Sep 17, 2007, Ron Paul we indicated that he would establish legal protections for the unborn:

"I am legally responsible for the unborn, no matter what I do, so there’s a legal life there. The unborn has inheritance rights, and if there’s an injury or a killing, there is a legal entity. There is no doubt about it."

His voting record is quite clear as well. Despite public proclamations that this is a State's issue, in practise as a Federal representative he was one of the big advocates and co-authors of the "Sanctity of Life Act", which would have legally defined - at a Federal level - that legal personhood begins at conception.

He was also responsible in the same year with the We the People Act, which would have removed “any claim based upon the right of privacy, including any such claim related to any issue of ... reproduction” from federal court jurisdiction.

The implication is clear; abortionists are murderers and the women who agree to it are accessories. Not a misogynist? A person who rejects the right of women to control their own bodies and their right to privacy on reproductive issues?

Apparently, according to some, this is "libertarianism".

Then there's those notorious newsletters. In recent years Paul has claimed that he disapproved of the material and claimed that he was not the author. Prior to that he defended the material and showed familiarity with the contents. This includes those who give advice on killing "black animals".

If there was ever any doubt of Paul's ongoing committment to racism, this month's social media post - supposedly on 'cultural Marxism' - should make matters quite clear: Same as it ever was.
