Environmental Caucus Party Policy Director

I'm running for Environmental Caucus Party Policy Director, and it will be a competitive race. This means you need to come vote for me! The election will be at the Environmental Caucus meeting at 7:30 pm on Friday. We'll be meeting in room 215-216 in the Moscone Center. You don't need to be a delegate to vote, but you do need to be a member of the caucus. Membership dues are $10, and you can join at the meeting.

Voting starts at 7:30 and will remain open until 8:45 pm, so even if you don't attend the full meeting, you can still swing by and cast a ballot. The Environmental Caucus meeting happens after the Progressive Caucus meeting and at the same time as the Labor Caucus meeting. It happens before most of the hospitality suites get started.

If elected, I'll push to make climate change the number one priority for the caucus, the party, the state, and humanity in general. We need a large, Green New Deal-style mobilization to decarbonize electricity, transition to electric vehicles and heating systems, eliminate net agricultural and industrial emissions, and remove carbon dioxide from the air. We also need a California Green New Deal that will make our state an example for others to follow. In these uncertain times, California must lead the way.

I look forward to seeing all of you at the meeting!
