My irony-detecting synapses have completely imploded. This particular piece of propaganda (Facebook) has to take some award; if there is no such award yet in Australia, it ought to exist. I have plenty to say but I will not dignify this cabal of intellectually shallow "free speech" fascists with any comment but to say that free speech needs a free and equal society. Andrew Bolt has a place in society - namely to be shunned and ignored for want of any actual, positive contribution to that society - but he is certainly not in any conceivable, intellectually honest way a champion of a free and equal society. These "libertarians" want us to go back to some concocted halcyon days when blacks shut up, homosexuals disappeared, women listened, workers got what they deserve (namely nothing) and society hummed along to the whims of a callous and selfish elite. The struggle against that elite has made great progress over the past century, and the struggle continues.

What Scott McIntyre wrote offended many, but was true.
What Andrew Bolt wrote was offensive and untrue.
Apparently the IPA doesn't know the difference.
