Geoff Walsh - "Comrade"

Died suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday 11th October 2014. He is survived by his wife Linda, his son Graham, his sisters Hellen and Sandra and brother Steven. His other brother Malcolm died in 2012.

Geoff was a quiet, humble, unassuming lifelong activist. He was a waterside worker, a serving member of the Waterside Workers Union Victorian Branch and a member of the Wednesday Action Group. Geoff was a welcome permanent fixture at the Reclaim the Radical Spirit of the Eureka Rebellion Celebrations held in Ballarat, since 2002. A great lifelong supporter of Community Radio 3CR, he was interviewed on Radical Australia about his life in March this year.

He will be missed by his wife Linda, his son Graham, his sisters Hellen and Sandra, brother Steven, members of the Waterside Workers Union Victorian Branch, the Wednesday Action Group, his friends and the political activists he worked with. He will be remembered for his honesty and his lifelong work towards creating a better life for all Australians.

His wife Linda has asked his friends and the people he worked and struggled with, to come to Geoff's funeral.
